LEEDS, UK 5th July 2004 - David Postle joined Luminary Solutions
as a Director today, as the company expanded to over 20 people. Postle joins from
Computer Associates (CA), one of the largest software companies in the world,
where he was a Business Technologist and Consulting Manager.
Prior to working at CA, Postle was the Operations Director for Apertus Systems
Limited, which CA acquired in July 2000.
An expert in the effective use of J2EE technology to deliver business solutions,
Postle will head up the growing Java practice within Luminary while retaining his
interest in the Open Source relational database, Ingres. He is a member of the
Ingres User Association Executive Committee.
"I am delighted to join Luminary at such an exciting time" commented Postle.
"Luminary's focus on technology integration to deliver new solutions addresses
perfectly the IT problems faced by businesses today. Customers demand high return
on investment and low risk solutions by maximising reuse of existing software
systems. I look forward to developing Luminary's business further".
Mike Prollins, Chairman of Luminary, commented "With the recruitment of Dave
Postle, our management team has strength in depth. Given our outstanding expansion
- from four staff to over 20 in under a year - and our business development plans,
it is essential that the right management is in place to ensure high quality
service delivery for all our customers. Dave is a perfect fit".
Founder Director Neil Warnock added "Having worked with Dave at both Apertus and
CA I know what a dedicated individual he is. He has that rare combination of an in
depth technical appreciation and good management skills. Together with Mike
Prollins and Mike Weightman on the commercial side the company is ready for its
next phase of expansion".
Luminary has a target of 45 skilled technicians by the end of 2005 and is actively
recruiting permanent staff and graduates for its newly developed Graduate Training
Programme.
